The wind tunnel laboratory is a kind of pipe-like experimental equipment that artificially generates and controls the air flow to simulate the flow of air around the aircraft or entity, and to measure the effect of the air flow on the entity and observe physical phenomena. It is one of the most common and effective tools for conducting aerodynamic experiments. Wind tunnel experiment is an indispensable part in the development of aircraft. It plays an important role not only in the research and development of aviation and aerospace engineering, but the development of industrial aerodynamics, transportation, housing construction, and wind energy utilization. With this experimental method, the flow conditions are easy to control. During experiments, models or objects are often fixed in a wind tunnel for repeated blowing, and experimental data is obtained through measuring instruments and equipments.
The wind tunnel acoustic service provided by SWAT includes: anechoic chamber, cave loop, gate and other sections.
